Client:

This global payment solutions provider develops proprietary middleware systems for integration with modern payment card processing platforms, supplying secure interfaces for many leading financial institutions, global foreign exchange companies and financial innovators.

Brief: 

Already supplying various custom moulded cables to this client, CIE Electronics were asked to design a connectivity enclosure to contain a PCB and chipsets for the customer's latest secure payment management interface.

A key element in the manufacturing specification was for stringent quality control procedures, requiring specific binary testing on each individual unit.

The Solution:

CIE designed an ergonomic, moulded ABS housing encorporating the customer's existing USB type A and RJ connectors, and middleware PCB to provide a secure interface between the users' telephony and PC systems.

As part of the manufacturing process, each individual unit was tested both at the production facility and here in the UK prior to despatch.
